My name is Daniel Bryant, and Windsor has been my home for nearly three decades. A Windsor High School alumnus, I've experienced both the growth and the enduring qualities that make our town special. I am passionate about preserving the welcoming atmosphere and local charm that define Windsor.

At 42, as a father of three, I am deeply invested in maintaining Windsor's appeal as a family-friendly community. I fondly recall when our neighborhoods were open fields and vineyards, and I have actively participated in keeping our Town Green a space for residents rather than a commercial resort.

As a candidate for District 3 representative, I am dedicated to thoughtful stewardship of our town's character. I believe in organic growth that enhances, not overshadows, our small-town allure. Your vote is a vote for an advocate of Windsor's unique spirit.

Thank you for your support.

A message from Daniel Bryant

First, let’s talk about what is important in our district. I will be a representative who listens to the people. Respectful communication with all members will always be a staple of my platform. As a community we might not always agree on priorities or solutions, but I want to be the catalyst for productive conversation and collaboration! Together we can work to grow and thrive in this great Town!

One of the most important topics right now is our opposition to the Casino that is being proposed bordering our communities in District 3. I know that nobody in the south eastern part of Windsor wants the casino project to continue. I oppose the project and want the community to know that if I had a vote to say “NO” I would use it. The roads, power, water and winter runoff plans that I have reviewed do not properly address how this development would affect the area.

Let’s take a look at why I feel I am qualified to represent you: I am a happily married 42-year-old father of 3. For nearly 29 years, middle school, high school and most of my adult life, I have called Windsor home. I had my first job here in Windsor working at Safeway. I became a “stay at home dad” in 2012 and used that opportunity to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. I found an incredible opportunity at L3 Communications that allowed me to grow my current career as a Cybersecurity Professional. I believe my experience, knowledge and skill set would add something to the town council that is incredibly valuable beyond what is normally considered “standard”. It is my intent to grow our town as the residents, business owners and stakeholders together envision and not give one group more importance over the other.

I have an amazing blended family to thank for the way my life is now! My wife is Sarah Bryant and our children are Aleah, Alexis and James. They have 6 total wonderful parents! One of my most rewarding experiences is co-parenting as we work hard to make sure our children come first and have support no matter what challenges they face. Making sure our kids can participate in baseball, softball, basketball, cheer, and of course camping, just adds to the loving memories we will cherish forever. Schedules get chaotic at times, but supporting their growth and guiding them to make smart decisions as they become young adults in this wonderful community is a highlight of our journey as parents.

My initial interest in local policies came about when I learned about the Civic Center project and how much of our beautiful Town Green would be lost to a luxury hotel. My biggest hangup was that a new Civic Center was not guaranteed! With another hotel already approved, kiddy corner to the Green, I was proud to support candidates who shared my desire to preserve it for our families and friends to enjoy. The small-town appeal is what we need to protect moving forward and what attracts tourism to our wonderful gem in Sonoma County!  Remember you need three council members to oppose the tearing down of the library and Huerta Gym in order to keep this off future agenda items.

These are what I feel are the most important issues now that we must address, but I want to also make sure that we talk about infrastructure, public safety, sustainable growth and emergency planning as well as anything that the community is seeing as a problem today and in the future!

I want to be another voice on the council that represents the PEOPLE. With the last two elections we have started creating a council that does just this and it is important to not lose sight as to why we voted for change on our council.

Please join me by voting to help me become your representative for Windsor Town Council, District 3. Thank you very much for your time!
